POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

Currently studying the third year of my career, the only thing I think, and I want is to leave after university and hold me. First to work on what I like and second to free myself from academic stress.

The truth is that I have not thought about doing postgraduate courses because my plan is to finish studying, work a little to pay for the trips I’ll have, I want to know the world and enjoy the good life. But in case I’m given the opportunity to take a course, I would like to deepen the areas that I liked while I was in undergraduate, I haven’t yet me them all, but so far, the pharmacology part catches my attention.

I haven’t researched much as to what postgraduate (master or doctorate) but if any subject will be, it’s pharmacology because it’s a great world to explore, the dynamics of finding after many attempts the perfect therapeutic target for a certain pathology, and then synthesizing the drug to act specifically there is very interesting.

I have always thought that studying exchange would be a wonderful experience, I would like to do a postgraduate abroad, where I can learn new languages and cultures, be a pleasant and non-stressful environment, in some recognized university of the place.

A part-time postgraduate because I learned that each one has a learning rhythm and that nothing and nobody rushes you to achieve your goals and according to studies of the countries witch the best education in the world a good professional isn’t the one who kills by studying everything day, if not someone who learns both academically and socially and psychologically.

MY FUTURE JOB

Hi again, I hope you are well. Today I will talk about my future job as pharmaceutical chemistry.

In my career as a professional I can choose a wide variety of work fields, these are in pharmacy, hospital (like pharmacovigilance and in pharmacy), laboratories (of drugs or cosmetics) among others.

Generally, the job of a pharmacist is totally indoor, but obviously if they give me the opportunity to go to work to other places far from where I live (abroad or another region), I am happy to go. However, if the workplace in my city takes me hours to arrive, I would not like it, I also want to live a life attached to work, do things that I like, take care of my pets.

About the salary like pharmaceutical I don’t know clearly, I know that the first months is not much, but then over time there is nothing wrong. However, my greatest aspiration is to do a good job with a vocation.   

Personally, it catches my attention pharmacovigilance because it is a much more interactive specialty with the patient, treatments are tried, and more intimate follow-ups are done to see if any adverse effect appears in the drug that is administered. And something tells me that it is not just sitting in an office as it is in the work of a chain pharmacy.

FOOTBALL

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog, today I will talk about the sports I enjoy.

When I was in school in physical education I met many sports among them baseball, basketball, handball, football, tennis, tablet tennis, volleyball. 

I enjoyed playing football and tablet tennis at recess but I must choose one so… I will talk about football. 

The rules of football are well known since it is the sport that moves the population the most today, either playing it or supporting it as a fan. However there are many ways to play football like baby football in which five against five are played, seven player football and eleven player football that is the best known and is broadcast on television. In all these objectives is to make a goal in the opposing arc. 

Today I play women's football for the selection of my faculty (faculty of chemical sciences of the University of Chile) in this case we are seven playing on the court. The match lasts a total of one hour, twenty-five minutes per side and ten halftime.

I like this sport because it helps me to cope with the academic load and the most important thing is that it teaches me to work as a team.

INTERSTELLAR

Movies or series a choice very difficult for me, I love movies or series of Adventure, science fiction, horror, set in another era.  I could talk since Avengers until Game of Thrones, but I will talk about a movie: Interstellar.  

Totally science fiction, Interstellar is recommended for people who love the Physic and all conspiracy theories about blacks holes. 

Is an epic movie released in 2014 directed by  Christopher Nolan inspired by the work of the theoretical physicist Kip Thorne. 

The plot of the movie focuses on Cooper, a scientist who directs a team of astronauts who travels through a wormhole mysteriously found near Saturn 48 years earlier, opening a path to a distant galaxy with some potentially habitable planets, a opportunity because the conditions in our planet  were increasingly precarious.

Cooper's crew is made up of scientists Romilly, Doyle and Brand's daughter (Amelia); and the TARS and CASE robots, an "Endurance" board. 

I like this movie because it is a way to put into practice some laws of physics taught in both college and university. And it's also my frustrated dream of being an astronaut.

BEST HOLIDAYS EVER

My holidays in 2014 until today I don´t forget, it was the first time traveling without my parents and with my sister Rosita and friends, in January we went to the central coast near Canelo beach, I don’t remember how long time it was but little more than a week.

We went to see some nearby beaches, showcase craft fairs, take a lot of pictures, eat a lot and laugh out loud.

Also, in the same year finally with my whole family went to de south of Chile, the first time we were all together. In my family we were seven, my parents three sisters and my niece (in past because over time members joined).  

Specifically, in the city of Los Angeles the rural area, we went to some hot springs (forget the name), met the Antuco volcano and we toured all the land near the place where we stayed.

What I most remember is that we share and laugh a lot, this is what makes one of the best vacations I've had, my memories are happy and full of love.

A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

Hi everybody! Today I will talk about a country I’d like to visit.

Always called my attention the Europe’s countries because I think that is very interesting the history about these places, specially by its antiquity the civilizations of millions of years ago that left their footprint today.

For choose one I will not center only on the wonderful places that it owns but in the country development.

I know about Finland that it is the happies country in the world also there is a welfare state, as well as a highly democratic policy with extremely low levels of corruption. And the most important for me its quality education system.

In the first instance I would like to know its beautiful places like Lapland in the city of Rovaniemi because it’s like the north pole of Santa Claus, a girl’s dream.

After I would like to know the idiom, cultures for to later be able to live there, finish my studies and make my life.

Evaluation of my blogging experience

I think this semester was a challenge for every one of us but the blog experience was a good opportunity to forget the stress of the university and can share your opinion.

When I was in the high school, my English teacher always said “Ok, this year we have to try to talk in English” but that it was never true. Here that experience was completely different because for say our point of view, you necessary had to talk in English. That was a challenge for me because I’ve never be a good English speaker so you will understand that it was difficult for me.

About the blog experience, it was really interesting because I had the possibility to know about the personal life of my classmates and their opinion about different topics. When we’re start, I thought that do a blog will be really boring but I really enjoyed each one of the blog. I think the topics of the blog were very diverse and liked the majority of my classmates. My absolutely favorite blog was the “Favorite series/TV shows” because I laughed so much doing it but it was really hard to choose some of the hundred series that I watched.

Definitely writing in a language that I don’t handle is really hard but I always felt supported by the teacher and if I made a mistake it doesn’t matter because we are here for learning and try to do the best.

I always have the same blog partner and I really feel comfortable with her.  

A subject I've enjoyed studying this semester

My favorite subject in this semester is laboratory techniques. I think the reason for my choice is because I have a vacuum with the subject of laboratories since school because although we had a laboratory equipped, I was rarely taken to work there and I didn't take advantage of it. Now, it is completely different because we go to the lab every week. At the beginning of the course, we did many experiments to "play" and lose the fear of working with glass materials and learn to use it correctly.

An area that I like about this subject are the teachers, which are clear when they are explaining the experiments that we will perform in the class and the technician of the laboratory is very nice, so much that when I go to the lab we laugh so much

I love the trust they have with each of us by providing us with a drawer with the necessary materials so that each week we can carry out our activities.

Although this course is only to learn the use of the measuring instruments and the application of the basic techniques of the chemical laboratory, after all, this seeks that we be able to do achieve basic operations, using criteria of precision and accuracy. I think that it is really good because it allows us to be all at the same level of knowledge and, from now, we can act to the right way in that place. I go Wednesdays in the afternoon and it is a pleasure to end the day having experiences like these. I have to accept that I hate the controls but the practical part is sensational.

A career-related website: "Unicoos"

If you read my posts, you know that I love YouTube and I watched so many videos. Since three years ago, I discovered a YouTube channel called “Unicoos” that helps me with chemistry, physics, and mathematics and since that moment, I have never let it. "Unicoos" It's a project created by David Calle who is a Telecommunications engineer who founded his own pre-university academy. He had about 30 students in his class but with the crisis in Spain, several of these were deserting. Then it occurred to him to do a YouTube channel where he would be able to help his students, through that platform uploading videos and answering their doubts and helping those who could not pay an academy.  Then he began to make his videos and little by little his visits grew exponentially until the present day having almost 700 videos, 43 million views and about 890 thousand subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Apart from the YouTube channel, he created an online platform that has more than 200 thousand subscribers. 

He was nominated in two important awards. One of them was the “Bitacoras 2016 awards” like Youtuber of the year and the second was the “Globalteacher Prize” which is cataloged as the "Nobel of education". He was in the top 10 of the best teachers in the world.

He currently has a working group of seven people who help him answer questions, make books with solutions to problems, recording videos, etc.

When I discovered the channel, I was going through a stressful time between school and Extraprogrammatic activities so my grades went down a bit and I needed to upload them. Then this incredible channel appeared.

I continue to use this method to study since because he explains in such a simple way the subjects that it is impossible not to understand. Apart from its content is for young people who are close to leaving the school and for the university students. Then it is dedicated for us.

Chile is the second most active country on this platform opening the door to ask ourselves: we will be doing well?

Torres del Paine

Hi everyone! Is time to talking about a place I’d like visit and this decision is so difficult because are a lot. Between the most important for me are in my country, Chile is very beautiful and I would love to know it completely.

So one of them is Torres del Paine is like a magic place, one of the most important National Park in Chile and a place choose like the fifth most beautiful of the world, also it have a protected wild area.

Interest me because exist just one way to get to the park, according to my friends who had gone
their trip lasted for days and it was very exhausting, but this is was worth it totally. They couldn’t explain me in words the beautiful places that they knew there.

As I like the sports that include trekking and also I love the south of the Chile I am ready to live the extreme experience and motivated.

A Photograph

This photo is very important for me and my family, I’m sure that whoever has more photos is it. That little puppy it’s my pet, it’s a girl (its pink collar proves it). 

It was taken for my sister at the end of October 2016 and we had only two weeks with that little puppy. Here it was very happy playing in the field, chasing the sheep. 

On that date we had to travel south to my uncle’s house in Los Angeles and as our little was very sick when we adopted its, we took its with us because it was on medication and couldn’t stay home alone.
I really like this photo because it was a first time I was traveling with a pet and it was very funny, with my sisters we could sleep with its and we took it everywhere. 
Although it was sick, it just wanted to play, and the good thing is that it improved and has been with us for almost 3 years. 
This photograph allows me to remember the whole process since we adopted it and it makes me feel proud.

Game of thrones

Today I will write about something that I love it. Game of Thrones is the best series that you must see. Its last season was transmitted in May and since then I don’t know what to do with my life, I feel empty.
The plot of the series is set in medieval times where there’s a constant fight for iron throne between different houses or “cities”, to this are added a threat that comes from a places unexplored by the population which would wipe out all of them if it could. One of the most important houses is the Stark, Lannister and Targaryen (my favorites characters is Arya Stark and Jon Snow). 

It created by David Benioff and Daniel Brett for HBO, inspirited in A Song of Ice and Fire the George Martin’s series of fantasy novels. 
Well, I like it because of its medieval plot and in every episode it becomes more exciting, it’s one of those series that come out of cliché schemes.

My super notebook

  Hi everyone! Today I will talk about  my favourite piece of technology. Well I am a few indecisive, so I had choise my notebook.
To be honest, for me isn't very important the technology because the materials will not forever, but in this case my notebook have a valued for me, because I got it after to into the university by my own means.
Usually I use it for study or in my free times, but I haven’t it, when I have it I watching series and movies.
For the university in my notebook I look information, tutorials videos, online books, I can do my homeworks and other things.
When I more use it in the weekend because the other days I don’t have time.
My notebook I like me because is multifunctional, I can enjoy and study in the same piece, also because is transportable and have ideal size.
Without it I will to have to study since books of the university library and enjoy with other things. Although for me this isn’t important, I can get used to it.

Why did I choose this career?

My dream of child always it was be astronaut, it’s so amazing everything related to the universe, galaxies, planets, the space.

However I had to be more realist, its difficulty and low employability they made me reconsider that it’s will stake like a dream.   

I had two years for choose a career, first I wanted to be a Chemical engineer but in the PSU I didn’t have the mark necessary and I did a pre-university in this year. Then in the same year I was change the option because didn’t like to me its study program and I didn’t know what to do. Until to appear Chemistry and Pharmacy and I loved it.

At the moment to apply I was put this career in the University of Chile, also Environmental Chemical in the same university and Medical Technology (only interested to me but didn’t be passionate it).

I entry a Chemistry and Pharmacy and my experience until today is amazing, I like to me everyday more. I will like working in Industry or in Pharmacovigilance.

     

My Autobiography

Hi everyone! Today the topic of my blog is about me, it is a little autobiography for you can know more about me.
Well, beginning I was born in 1998 in Santiago, specific in San Bernard, I live in La Florida but my mother had a personal’s doctor here, so she had across the city for my born and the my sister.
I was study in the Rosario Concha’s school this was near of my house, at five minutes approximately. Then in the past year I started my superior studies in University of Chile until today, I study Chemistry and Pharmacy and I love it. Here I knew other world different that I used to know but I like this.
About my family I can tell you I have three sisters and the most little is me, also are have my parents and my dog that is the happiness in my house, its name is Bella, it is black and white and it’s so crazy but it’s very beautiful .
My favorite hobby is sleeping too much, go out with my friends, also I love playing football and eating too.
